Brian and Caitlin based their wedding around a couple special details; the date, and their shoes. Both were equally special. The couple exchanged their vows on 02/02/2020 at Holocene in Portland, OR. As you might notice, the date is a palindrome (meaning its the same forwards and backwards). So very fittingly, the couple celebrated their “Palindromatrimony”. And then there were the shoes. The couple picked them up during an over seas trip because they would be a great fit for their vintage inspired attire. Brian found his tie at a local vintage shop, and Caitlin wore her mother’s wedding dress. You can spot their shoes in a photo in the gallery below.

We kicked off the day with a sweet first look and followed it up with a few cocktails at Hey Love. Caitlin and Brian wanted to take more casual approach to their portraits so we all agreed that some delicious cocktails were the way to go. Hey Love not only has a great drink menu, its also a beautiful space. The staff was incredibly helpful and set us up with a private booth. Go check out Hey Love even if it’s not your wedding day!

The ceremony and reception were held at Holocene, which the couple chose because of their mutual love of live music. The ceremony was filled with beautiful traditions and tributes to their lost loved one. Caitlin’s brother carried a photo of her mother down the aisle as a way to pay tribute to her. The couple shared some laughs and a couple tears while they were married by a close friend. After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with close friends and family and busted out some of their dance moves.
