I started my career as a photographer more than ten years ago. I completed my bachelors degree in photojournalism then set off to be a newspaper photographer in West Texas, covering everything from rodeos to former presidents. All those years of daily assignments really taught me how to connect with people and to be able to make authentic photographs of them. When I’m not shooting weddings, I still love freelancing as a photographer for local publications in the Portland area.

I bring the same documentary approach to weddings as I do to my editorial work. I think it truly allows for candid moments to blossom and for couples and guests to enjoy each other.

My couples value photography, and want it to incorporate into their wedding day in a natural way. I pride myself on being able to make great photos, while not taking up to much time that you could be spending with guests. If you feel like my style may fit your needs, I would love to work with you in photographing your special day.

For inquiries, please fill out the form on my contact page and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

On a personal note: When I’m not working, I love spending my time with my wife Lindsey, our close friends, and our stubborn cat, Phoebe. Lindsey and I both enjoy a great hike, terrible reality TV, tacos, and the occasional Old Fashioned (or two). When I have a free day and the weather is nice, you can also catch me riding my bike around town.

Thanks for visiting!
